DATTA Vic & Google program

Recently, in2robotics had the opportunity to team up with DATTA Vic and Google for an exciting professional development opportunity for educators. The Real World Robotics PD was a four-session program that was designed to introduce 16 schools new to VEX Robotics to the basics of programming and how to incorporate robot vision on a robot.

The program was generously funded by Google, who supplied robot vision sensors, 3 axis accelerometers, and color sensors for the schools to use. The PD sessions were led by Travis Burroughs, the founder of in2robotics and in2robotics Alumni Spencer Vaughn, Ben Goldfarb, and Leonid Chizhevskiy. The program was a huge success, with the participating schools learning the basics of programming all the way to incorporating robot vision on a robot.

The Real World Robotics PD was a fantastic opportunity for educators to learn about the latest developments in robotics technology, and how to incorporate it into their classrooms. The program provided hands-on experience and knowledge that educators can take back to their schools and pass on to their students.

We are excited to see the new schools competing and the impact this program will have on the future of robotics education in Victoria. Special thanks to DATTA Vic and Google for their support in making this program possible. We look forward to future collaborations and continuing to support the growth and development of robotics education in Australia.
