Oct 14th VEX IQ @ Aquinas College

It was an exciting day for Robotics enthusiasts as the first VEX IQ only event of the year was held at Aquinas College. The competition brought together teams from different schools to showcase their skills and teamwork in the field of Robotics. The venue offered a great view and the perfect setting for the event.

The Excellence award, recognizing the team’s excellence in design, engineering, teamwork, and programming was awarded to Rick Roll Robotics team from Glendal Primary School, composed of students with the team number 5010B. They have proven to be the best in the competition and have demonstrated exceptional skills and teamwork.

The Teamwork Champion award, given to teams that have demonstrated exceptional teamwork during the competition, was awarded to two teams this year. Aquinas Aardvarks team from Aquinas College, composed of students with the team number 20153D, and Rick Roll Robotics team from Glendal Primary School, composed of students with the team number 5010B, both proved their exceptional collaboration and communication skills in the competition.

The Design Award, recognizing the team’s excellence in design and engineering, was awarded to Templestowe College team, composed of students with the team number 3107J, they have demonstrated a great attention to detail and creativity in their robot design.

The Robot Skills Champion award, given to the team that has scored the highest in the robot skills challenge, was awarded to Speckled Frogs Robotics team from Glendal Primary School, composed of students with the team number 5010A. They have proven to be the best in the field of robot skills and have demonstrated exceptional abilities in programming and maneuvering their robot.

The Judges Award, given to the team that has made the most significant impact on the competition, was awarded to Camberwell Grammar School team, composed of students with the team number 31269A, they have made a significant contribution to the competition and have made an impact on the judges and the other teams.

We would like to extend our gratitude to Andrew Russell and the Aquinas Team for running the event, without their hard work and dedication, this event could not have happened.
