2022 VEX Season Opener

Our recent and exciting season opener robotics competition, several teams have proven their excellence and dedication in the field. The VRC Awards have recognized the achievements of various teams, and we are proud to highlight their accomplishments.

First off, we would like to congratulate the team of “Lethal Presence” from Templestowe College, Australia, for winning not one, but two major awards at the competition. The team, composed of students with the team number 1002T, has received the Excellence Award and the Tournament Champions award. The Excellence Award is the highest award given in the competition, recognizing the team’s excellence in design, engineering, teamwork, and programming. The Tournament Champions award, on the other hand, is given to the team that has won the tournament and has proven to be the strongest in the competition.

Another team that has proven its mettle in the competition is the Forest Hill Seniors from Forest Hill College, Melbourne, Australia. The team, composed of students with the team number 92944A, has received the Tournament Champions award, showing their exceptional skills and teamwork in the competition.

The Design Award, which recognizes a team’s excellence in design and engineering, has been awarded to the Aquinas Aardvarks from Aquinas College, Ringwood, Australia. The team, composed of students with the team number 52050B, has shown remarkable ingenuity and creativity in their robot’s design.

The Robot Skills Champion award, which is given to the team with the highest-scoring robot skills in the competition, has been awarded to the Piece for Piece team from Templestowe College, Australia, composed of students with the team number 1002C.

Finally, the Judges Award, which is given to the team that has been identified by the judges for their unique and outstanding achievements, has also been awarded to the Piece for Piece team from Templestowe College, Australia, composed of students with the team number 1002C.

We would like to express our gratitude to the host of the competition, Glendal Primary, as well as to Henry Grossek and Deborah Grossek, for their contributions and support in making the competition possible.
